In a press conference previously touted as being about something “bigger than aliens,” Rep. Anna Paulina Luna and Rep. James Comer of the House Oversight Committee announced a bipartisan task force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets.
The task force will be investigating the following:
- UAPs
- Underwater UAPs (aka USOs)
- JFK, RFK and MLK jr. assassinations
- the Epstein list
- 9/11
- COVID’s origins
Luna stressed that this is a bipartisan task force that will have both Republican and Democratic members.
Comer and Luna also noted during the press conference that they have a great working relationship with key members of federal government, which is allowing a task force like this to be launched for the first time. Among them, she said, are Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hesgeth and the CIA director.
Unfortunately, however, the task force does not have subpoena power and will need to seek that from the House Oversight Committee if needed.
The task force will not have subpoena power

The First Public Hearing Will Investigate JFK’s Assassination
The task force’s first public hearing is going to take place in March and it will investigate the JFK assassination, Luna shared.
First hearing will cover JFK. I am looking to bring in a few people. To include an individual on the assassination record review board as well as someone on the House Select committee on Assassinations. There will be a few more. Deep state mouth pieces are trying to take what I…

She added that she believes there were two shooters involved.

Of note: the House Select Committee on Assassinations concluded there was a high likelihood that two gunmen fired at JFK. But the media and public tend to ignore that finding and instead focus on the single shooter conclusions from the Warren Commission.
Interestingly, the FBI just announced that they found thousands of “lost” records connected to the assassination. Luna said they will be looking into those, and would welcome help from independent investigators as well.
Letters Have Already Been Sent Requesting UAP-Related Documents
While some UFO enthusiasts may be disappointed that there wasn’t a big announcement about UFOs or aliens, significant steps are already being taken in those arenas by the task force.
Letters have just been sent to the Sec of State, CIA director, and Sec of Defense requesting documents regarding the existence of UAPs no later than February. 18
Here’s the letter to Pete Hesgeth, Secretary of Defense.

And the letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

As we’ve reported previously, Rubio is sympathetic to the UFO disclosure cause. In 2023 when David Grusch first came forward with his claims of a UAP reverse retrieval program, Rubio discussed with the media that he had spoken to a number of firsthand witnesses in the government who feared for their lives if they came forward.
