Recent statements from the Commander of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) suggest that the mysterious drones spotted over military installations may pose a more serious threat than previously acknowledged. General Gregory Guillot, the top general responsible for air defense in both the United States and Canada, voiced his concerns during a recent Senate Armed Services Committee hearing.
“The primary threat I see from them, in the way they’ve been operating, is detection and perhaps surveillance of sensitive capabilities on our installations,” General Guillot stated. He continued by saying “There were three hundred and fifty detections reported last year on military installations, and that was three hundred and fifty over a total of a hundred different installations of all types and levels of security.”
The nature and intent behind these drone activities remain unclear, but the frequency of sightings has raised significant concerns among defense officials. Previously, a congressman highlighted inconsistencies surrounding these drone sightings, pointing out gaps in the available information. Now, with NORAD’s top commander expressing apprehension, questions are mounting about the true nature of these incursions and whether the full scope of the situation has been disclosed to the public.
Are these drones simply the result of private or commercial activity, or is there a larger, undisclosed threat at play? The mystery continues to unfold, leaving many wondering if more revelations are yet to come. Watch the video below and follow us on Clapper.
