Unexplained drone activity in the skies above New Jersey has prompted concern among lawmakers and security officials, with even the White House and President Donald Trump reportedly unsure of what the drones were or who was operating them.

Officials Concerned About Unidentified Drones Over Military Sites

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand recently addressed the issue in an interview with AskaPol, stating that while most drone sightings have been deemed non-threatening, certain incidents have raised red flags, particularly those involving mystery drones flying over sensitive military locations such as Langley and munitions depots.

She noted that even though Trump’s administration had said all the drones were FAA authorized or hobbyist drones, this wasn’t actually accurate.

Gillibrand said that they weren’t concerned about most of the drones, but they were concerned about the ones that were flying over sensitive installations like Langley, and nobody still has any idea what they were.

“We’re not concerned about most of it. We’re concerned about specific drill incursions over Langley and arsenals and other sensitive military sites,” she commented.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand said in an Ask a Pol interview that the event was very concerning.

She added: “It’s very concerning, and so I think they just listened to the pablum that came from law enforcement to say we’re not worried about most of the reports because most are of aircraft and other known objects. But it doesn’t answer the question. They don’t know…”

The mystery drones over New Jersey gained traction as officials continue to investigate without reaching any definitive conclusions. Although many sightings are likely attributable to civilian or commercial drones, the incidents involving national security installations remain unexplained. And some incidents spotted by residents and local officials also could not be explained.

This uncertainty underscores growing concern about aerial surveillance, airspace safety, and the need for clearer protocols around drone identification and response.
