A former NASA official has stepped into the spotlight with claims that could reignite the debate over the U.S. government’s knowledge of unidentified flying objects. Dr. Gregory Rogers, who served as NASA’s Chief Flight Surgeon and was a major in the U.S. Air Force, recently revealed that he was shown security footage of a 20-foot flying saucer housed in a government hangar at Cape Canaveral in 1992.

A Decades-Old Secret Comes to Light

Rogers, who spoke to the Daily Mail and appeared on the Total Disclosure podcast, described the craft as a seamless, white, saucer-shaped vehicle, completely smooth, with no visible rivets, seams or antennas. According to Rogers, the object hovered effortlessly, tilting and rotating in ways that defied conventional aviation technology. The footage also showed personnel in hazmat suits and lab coats studying the craft. Rogers recounted:

“What I saw was a white, completely smooth vehicle that appeared to be a flying saucer. It was constructed in the shape of a modified circular egg, being equal in length and shape from all sides as I would learn as I watched the video. I turned to the major to my left and asked, who would build a vehicle like that? He said he could not tell me. I then asked, why would we design a craft configured like that? His response was exactly what I’m gonna show you right now. He went, ‘We got it from them,’ pointing directly up, signaling, in my interpretation, that he was referring to space.”

Rogers said the craft bore a large “U.S. Air Force” emblem, which left him questioning whether it was of American or extraterrestrial origin. He was sworn to secrecy at the time and only recently decided to come forward after retiring from the Department of Defense.

Astronauts’ Own UFO Encounters

Adding to the intrigue, Rogers claimed that several astronauts privately confided in him about their own UFO sightings during space missions. He stated that these professionals often avoid going public due to the stigma and potential career repercussions within the aerospace community.

Context: A Surge of Whistleblower Testimonies

Rogers’ disclosure comes amid a wave of similar claims from former military and intelligence officials. In 2023, ex-intelligence officer David Grusch testified to Congress about alleged secret programs to retrieve and reverse-engineer non-human craft, though these claims have been denied by the Pentagon and remain unsubstantiated by hard evidence.

Skepticism and Public Reaction

While Rogers’ credentials as a former NASA chief flight surgeon lend weight to his account, he has not provided physical evidence to corroborate his story. This has led to a divided response online, with some calling for further investigation and transparency, and others expressing skepticism about the timing and verifiability of his claims.

Recent reviews by the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) have found no verifiable evidence that the U.S. government possesses or has reverse-engineered extraterrestrial technology, attributing most UFO sightings to misidentified ordinary objects or secret military projects.

The Ongoing Debate

Rogers’ story adds to the growing list of high-profile whistleblowers alleging secret government knowledge of anomalous aerial vehicles. As with previous claims, the lack of concrete evidence keeps the debate alive, with some demanding more openness from authorities and others urging caution until more proof emerges.

What do you think of Dr. Rogers’ revelations? Are they a glimpse into hidden truths, or another chapter in the long history of UFO speculation? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
